Study: Man with Rock

Carrying a rock around on his head, the man trots over the hill and down the dell and across the river. He stops for a drink. The rock falls off. He puts it back on his head, capers a little, and trots onward. His face is bright and cheerful, his eyelids painted summer-sky-blue, his lips spring-grass-green, spots of buttercup-face-yellow on his cheeks. He trots along with purpose and a steady stride, his rock on his head.
